Brevity

Yet another creation of music and pictures.  This one, for a friend that disappeared from my contact..and then I discovered ..met an untimely death.  The poem is as follows:

BREVITY

the brevity of life

is not just to get a wife

not about whether to stop or go

not about whether to say yes or no

the brevity of breathing

it's not about mindless seething

moments of pointless anger

over a Self-Evaluation paper

the brevity of smiling

it's not about a one night fling

several hours of passionate aggression

that later leads to heartbroken confession

the brevity of talking

it's more about keeping walking

not so much about that "walk" talk

but more about the "talk" walk

the brevity of everything

is finding something from nothing

to seek out the small stuff

and let go of the big fluff

everything that i write about

it's more to it than a rhyme

when somebody goes home with a shout

what then, will i do with my time?

what greater love has man

than a friend who will lay down his life

what greater love than The Lamb

who shows us the finish line of strife

He kisses the flowers each morning with dew

yet, He really knows and cares about you

it is finished, the battle is over

it's the brevity of no more
